About cropping and resizing images

Cropping removes distracting edges and gives the main subject more space. It is common in photography, design and social posts, where the same image may need different framing for different layouts.

Rotation corrects a tilted or sideways image before it is shared. Resizing changes its pixel dimensions; a smaller image can load faster, while a larger copy cannot recreate detail that was not captured in the original.

Before saving, check that the crop keeps everything important in frame and that the chosen format suits the image. Photos often work well as JPEG or WebP, while PNG is useful for graphics that need transparency. Keep an untouched original if you may want to edit it again later.

All processing happens in your browser — your images never leave your device.
